A World of Folklore

Inspired by folklore from around the world, these illustrations bring mythical creatures, curious characters and forgotten tales to life through intricate, imaginative detail.

From the Irish Stray Sod, an enchanted clump of grass said to entrance anyone who steps upon it, to Mexico’s elusive Cactus Cat, a desert creature best avoided, each illustration explores the magic, mystery and mischief woven into traditional storytelling.

Foxes and badgers feature in folk tales across Europe, while the baby griffin offers a glimpse into the enchanting world of mythical beasts.

Through this selection from my wider global folklore collection, I explore the connections between nature, mythology and storytelling, reimagining traditional tales for a new generation.
